Electonic Marketing Continuing Education

Even though I consider myself somewhat of an expert in Internet Marketing, I know that I need to keep learning in order to “stay on top of my game”.  I am fortunate to be attending the Electronic Marketing course during the first day of class at Notre Dame University Chicago campus. In addition to helping businesses with their Internet Marketing strategies, we are learning how to leverage this technology for non-profit organizations.  This weekend, more than 30 top Hispanic chamber executives from all over the country participate in the Nonprofit Growth Leadership Certificate Program offered by the Mendoza College of Business. BEST Youth Entrepreneurial Mentoring Camp in WI

I am an avid believer in paying it forward, hence I love to have the chance to help some young aspiring entrepreneurs as I will be a Coach and Speaker at next week’s Latino Entrepreneurial Network’s 5th annual Bilingual Entrepreneurial Summer Training (BEST) Youth Camp in Milwaukee, WI.  Every year we get a get group of kids in middle and high school that are aspiring business owners.  Many of them come from first or second generation, hard working business owning families.  I wish I was able to participate in a program like this when I was in middle school.  I used to have a candy selling business until i found out we couldn’t sell candy during school (besides, I was getting about 70% of 6th grade boys lunch money every day).  So a program like this would have helped me out at a much younger age in structuring, creating and running a business.  It wasn’t until after I graduated from Grad school did I get expose to Business Plan training courses.  If you have a child in the Milwaukee area that would benefit from some business plan coaching, please see the link provided below.  This course will be taught in English and Spanish to benefit moat students.  Some parents of children that only know English, have expressed praise to the additional Spanish exposure as they strive to educate their children on a bilingual education.

iPhone 4, still no Flash Video? Why?

For all of you iPhone and iPad users that wonder why Apple has not installed a Flash Video player, we need to look at the top of Apple and Flash.  Apple founder, Steve Jobs, has had some “Beef” with the folks at Adobe for some time now.  Why is it that the top gadgets in the world (iPhone and iPad) don’t have Adobe Flash Video capabilities?  Well, if you own one of these devices, then you can feel my pain (or actually annoyance) when you look to view a common video outside of YouTube.  Well as much as I love Apple products, I just wish that these two technological behemoths could get along.   It makes me wonder “why can’t we all just get along and work together”?  Well, for more information on Steve Job’s reasoning behind this beef, check out the following article.
